DRIVER’S EDUCATION
Class Expectations

ATTENDANCE: 
-You can not miss any more than 1 class period for any reason.
-Classes will meet Monday thru Friday. Drive Monday thru Saturday.
-Tardies will result in detention. 2 tardies and you will be dropped from the class.
-Meeting Time: School year 3:45-6:15, Summer: 9:00-11:30
-Attitude

CLASS SET-UP:
-2 ½ hours long.
-1st ½ hour-quizzes and go over quizzes.
-2nd hour-movies and videos.
-3rd hour-Class discussion.

-CLASSROOM TOPICS COVERED:
-Alcohol, Turns, Lane Position, Seat belts, Insurance, Pedestrians, Weather, etc.
-NOTEBOOK-I will provide you a notebook and you are expected to keep all your quizzes, worksheet and projects in it and organized.

-GRADING: 
The class is Pass/Fail. You need a 75% to pass. You receive a 1/2 credit.

STATE REQUIREMENTS: 60 total hours
-45 hours of classroom instruction.
-6 hours of behind the wheel experience
-12 hours of observation. 

COST OF CLASS:
-$150.00 for in district students
-$200 for out of district students.

DRIVING SET-UP:
-1st hour. 1st ½ hour church parking lot. 2nd half hour town driving.
-2nd hour. Highway/mountains drive to Lincoln.
-3rd- 5th hour. City driving in Great Falls-Interstate driving.
-6th hour. Parallel, angle and perpendicular parking.

BEHIND THE WHEEL:
-You must be on time when driving.
-1 miss and you will be dropped from class and lose $150.00. You will have to pay for    make-up.
-Driving will take place after class and on weekends.
-No sandals or flip-flops when driving.
-You must bring your driving booklet for each drive. If you forget it will result in a 0/20 in  the grade book
-Parents and students must sign booklet-Not signed will result in a 0/20 in grade book.
-Attitude
